Call Forwarding Setup Guide
How to set up and manage Call Forwarding on your GRTI home phone service using simple dial codes.
What Is Call Forwarding?
Call Forwarding lets you send incoming calls from your home phone to another phone number. This can be helpful if you’re away from home but still want to receive calls.
Call Forwarding is available as an optional feature or as part of a calling feature bundle.
Before You Start
- You will need a working forwarding phone number.
- Always include 1 + area code when entering the forwarding number.
- These features are set up directly from your phone using dial codes.
Option 1
Forward All Calls
Send all incoming calls to another number.
Complete initial voicemail setup, listen to new messages, save or delete messages.
After setup, dial *98 anytime to access voicemail.
Step 2
Record an Unavailable Greeting
Record a greeting played when calls cannot be completed.
Step 3
Record a Busy Greeting
Record a greeting played when your line is already in use. This helps inform callers that you are on another call.
Step 4
Change Your Voicemail PIN
Create or update your voicemail password. This helps protect your messages from unauthorized access.
Tips for Using Voicemail
- Record a clear greeting, so callers know they reached the right number.
- Choose a 4-digit PIN that is easy to remember but secure.
- Check voicemail regularly to avoid a full mailbox.
- Update greetings if your availability changes.
Good to Know
